Individual and Group Counseling
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING is when we meet with a student one-on-one to counsel him or her regarding academic, personal, and/or social issues. This is a short-term, goal-oriented time that I will meet with students to assist them with acquiring new skills and strategies to cope with problems that interfere with their personal and academic growth. If a student is in need of more long-term counseling, we are able to assist families with securing ongoing therapy with an outside provider.
GROUP COUNSELING consists of 3-5 students with similar concerns meeting weekly for 6-8 weeks.
Students may be referred to individual or group counseling by parents, teachers, or themselves.
